Jerome’s Furniture, Southern California’s home-grown retailer, announced that it celebrates its 65th birthday this month.
The company started with one downtown San Diego location and now encompasses 13 showrooms, nine Dream Shops, a Clearance Outlet and online showroom, all serving San Bernardino, Riverside, Los Angeles, Orange and San Diego counties.
“Throughout the years, our mission remains the same; to be Southern California’s first choice and last thought for furniture,” said Brian Woods, CEO of Jerome’s Furniture. “We do so by treating customers right with the warmth and care we do our own families. We’re proud of our long-standing leadership in the region but prouder still of how our neighbors consistently look to us for their furniture needs. It’s our privilege to do so.”
Jerome’s Furniture’s differentiator and value proposition encompass three elements:
Offer more intentional products that cater to the unique needs and lifestyles of Southern Californians.Designing a showroom experience that honors their specific neighborhood.
Communicating its 65-year legacy of treating Southern Californians like family with the best selection at the best price and best service.
Jim and Esther Navarra founded Jerome’s Furniture in 1954, and the Navarra family continues to own and operate the business to this day. The 900-employee company features five Navarra family members, three of whom are third-generation retailers. Jerry and Ann Navarra joined the company in the early 1970s and extended their reach in the greater San Diego area over 40-plus years. The third generation grew the business into the greater Los Angeles area over the last 15 years. As Jerome’s has expanded, the company remains committed to bringing our customers high-quality home furnishings at everyday low prices, known as “Jerry’s Price.”
“We continually seek new concepts and creative offerings that fit the needs of our customers now and in the future,” said Jim Navarra, Executive Vice President of Jerome’s Furniture. “We did so most recently with the launch of our Premier and Urban Outlet product lines as well as our expanding digital experience that leverages augmented reality to give customers a feel for how our products will look in their home without leaving it. We know Southern California better than any other furniture retailer, and will never stop innovating for them. It’s how families should treat each other.” Jim Navarra added further.
