French home furnishings maker and retailer Ligne Roset has hired industry veteran Christopher Philips as director of sales, retail for Roset USA. In this role, Philips will lead and grow the retail network and residential designer business for the high-end European lifestyle brand in North and South America, the company said.
Philips most recently was brand manager for Natuzzi Italia and has held previous leadership roles at MissoniHome Americas and Kartell.
The company called his role “pivotal” and said Philips brings a strong background in managing high-profile retail partners, increasing business and partner satisfaction. His experience “implementing creative and effective merchandising lineups, retail layouts and product line developments will also help propel the brand forward,” it said.
The Briord, France-based company, known for its focus on environmentally conscious design, said Philips will focus on the leading its “brick-and-mortar family of stores into the future, while supporting residential interior designer initiatives and programming.”
“Christopher brings a unique skill set to the team, tailored to grow our retail and residential business,” said Simone Vingerhoets-Ziesmann, Roset USA’s managing director.“His market-focused creativity and analytical sales skills are what I was aiming for in filling this critical leadership position within our Ligne Roset Americas team.” Simone added further.
In the release, Philips called the company’s product designs “vibrant and creative” and the French manufacturing in the Rhône-Alps region “masterful.”
He characterized the existing retail network as “filled with passion and loyalty.”
