Nourison shifts NY Showroom

Nourison is all about trellis and tribal designs and Persian-inspired patterns this season.

Next week at New York Home Fashions Market, the company will be showcasing its expanded offering of accent rugs and decorative accessories in a new setting: Nourison’s new showroom in suite 518 of 295 Fifth Ave.

“We are continuing to drive fashion and trends with our color and constructions,” Vice President Paula Paquette said. “We find our customer is always looking for newness, updates and affordable fashion, and that is what we are giving them this market.” Paula added further.

The Dinah and Tunis accent rug collections translate trellis designs onto two different constructions.

Dinah rugs are plush, micro-polyester shags colored in neutral tones of gray, ivory and silver and embellished with pompoms.

Tunis is a cotton collection made with a woven jacquard border in a chevron design that is available in both standard and variegated trellis looks, bedecked with braided fringe. Its colors combinations include ivory blue, ivory black and ivory gray. Canton and Darien are both digital-printed accent rug programs featuring tribal designs.

The Castle and Rockford accent rug collections center on diamond patterns in neutral colors. Castle rugs are textured, woven cotton, and Rockford are over-tufted cotton jacquard rugs with overlapping diamond patterns bedecked with fringe.

“Our new products are all about texture and surface interest, like high-low piles, tassels and fringe,” she noted.

The new Homestead collection presents Persian-inspired area rugs with traditional geometric and floral motifs and classic borders. These rugs are protected by the company’s own “Nouri-Guard” fiber protectant designed to repels most stains from food, beverages, dirt, water and oil.
