Surya to showcase home accessories in Pantone’s 2017 Color of the Year

During the winter markets, Surya will showcase a selection of rugs and accessories in Greenery – the Pantone 2017 Color of the Year. Surya offers a diverse range of products in this rejuvenating hue, which Pantone describes as “a fresh and zesty yellow-green shade that evokes the first days of spring when nature’s greens revive, restore and renew.”

Lynne Meredith, vice president of product development at Surya, says, “Pantone’s announcement of Greenery as the color of the year is no surprise to Surya. We have been seeing green as an emerging color trend in home decor for a while now in all its shade variations – from deep emeralds and bottle greens through leafy hues and acid limes. This versatile hue is synonymous with the nature we see around us every day, creating a feeling of familiarity and comfort. As the garden and yard increasingly becomes an extension of living spaces, Greenery is the perfect transitional color for indoor/outdoor rugs and decorative accents.”

Greenery will be translated in home decor and architecture via living walls, terrariums, botanically-themed wallpaper and paint, accent furniture and decor. The uplifting and regenerative hue complements the trend toward open spaces in interior and exterior design, which invites the outdoors to become a part of a room’s essence.

These products, and all other items displayed in Surya’s showrooms, will be ready to ship during the winter season.
