Jonathan Charles launches 300 new pieces at HP Market

Published on : Monday, October 21, 2019

Luxury furniture manufacturer Jonathan Charles Fine Furniture is launching 300 pieces at this week’s High Point Market, spread across several new collections along with additions to inline collections and items in new finishes.

While the size of the overall introduction is not unusual for the company, it has a heavier than normal emphasis on both case goods and upholstery. In previous markets, many of the introductions also would include categories such as accessories, lighting and mirrors.

In addition to several new collections of bedroom dining and occasional furniture, the SKU count also includes about 15 new upholstery groupings that are being shown with new and existing occasional pieces.

In addition, there are new pieces being added to its Gatsby, Geometric, Fusion and Belgravia collections, and a new finish is being added to its Buckingham collection. There also are five new finishes being added to its JC Edited line, including some lighter casual tones with lower sheens.

The entire mix is being shown in the company’s existing 22,000-square-foot showroom in suite 125 of 200 N. Hamilton. The space has been retrofitted to showcase the company’s ability to develop coordinating bedroom, dining room and occasional furniture as well as pieces that mix well together in living room settings. The company also has replaced its pub with a more modern, London-inspired café and gin bar.

The product mix represents a broad mix of styles. For example, the new Hamilton collection has both updated Neoclassical and Federal style influences, while the new Berkley collection has a Hollywood Regency flair.
