Utah-based bedding accessories maker Malouf has recently acquired a warehouse distribution property in central Ohio. Located in a suburb of Columbus, the facility adds just over 1 million square feet of space between two warehouse buildings on 125 acres to the company’s distribution portfolio.

CEO Sam Malouf said, “Acquisition of the new property is key to helping us achieve some important growth goals. All of our current customers will continue to receive efficient shipping and exceptional order support. In addition, the new location will help us streamline distribution and warehouse operation to expand our private label enterprises.”

The new warehouse space allows Malouf to expand branded product lines to retail partners that want to promote unique brands and sleep product expertise to their specific customer bases.

Malouf VP of sales, Mike Douglas said, “Over the last five years, we’ve launched successful private label programs with some of the biggest retailers in the industry. As that becomes a bigger part of our business, we have to plan ahead to ensure distribution space and shipping efficiencies accommodate that growth.”

With addition of this new property, Malouf expands its warehouse holdings to 2.8 million square feet of distribution space. The company’s strategically located distribution centers offer two-day ground shipping to 85 percent of the U.S. population.
