Springboard Futures to arrange a Webinar on BII in Home Industry

Published on : Monday, June 29, 2020

The Springboard Future is arranging a webinar on industrial challenges defining cultural shift. The strength of the Black freedom movement, and the groundswell of support it is receiving make one thing clear: the demand for equality will not be satisfied until that equality is secured by mandates and actions. That will mean changes in public and private institutions, and to industries of every type – especially Home.

Consider this: The North America home décor market is forecast to expand with a CAGR of 8.5% through 2025, set to reach nearly $12 billion by 2024. The Housewares industry accounts for over $350 billion worldwide. This stability and growth in the Home and Housewares industries presents expansive potential for the engagement and inclusion of underrepresented Black professionals. Moreover, it means that consumers will be expecting retailers and brands to act by delivering responsible change – and responsive product.

How can the Home industry work collectively to create systemic changes to abolish racism and establish new standards for inclusion and equality? What will new demands for unity and equality mean to Home products and assortments?

Hosted by Tom Mirabile, the Springboard Futures webinar, Black Influence and Inclusion in the Home Industry gathers industry experts to discuss essential considerations for the advancement of equality and diversity in Home. The issues addressed will range from best practices of equality to the anticipated effects of the Black freedom movement on Home trends in style, color, and design.

The webinar will be held tomorrow on June 30.
