Moe’s Home Collection recruits chief digital officer

Moe’s Home Collection adopts more ultramodern, state-of-the-art technologies with Robert Pearson as its first chief digital officer. Moe’s Home Collection, a full-line home furnishings distributor and retailer, has recently become even more technologically advanced. Moe’s had been working with industry veteran Pearson on the redesign of its business-to-business website. Moe’s Home Collections’ Key Design Directions are a creative examination of the team’s most avant-garde thoughts and forward-thinking ideas, projecting into the future with imagination, inspiration, and insight.

‘A fresh start’

“We are thrilled to have Robert Pearson as our CDO,” said Sara Samieian, co-CEO of Moe’s. “He has been leading our B2B and B2C website transformations, and we are very excited to launch this integral piece of the Moe’s Home Collection experience.”

The co-CEOs, Sara Samieian and Moe Samieian Jr., will receive reports from Pearson. Prior to joining Moe’s, Pearson spent more than 30 years working for Best Buy Canada, where he most recently served as vice president of e-commerce.

According to the company, Pearson will head a cross-functional team in his new position that is in charge of several Moe’s divisions, including retail, wholesale, marketing, customer service, and sale order operations. Pearson will also be a member of the executive leadership team.

The Design team at Moe’s Home Collection had been considering a complete revamping for 2023. Trends and introductions for the year – the idea of a complete reset, encompassing a broader culture was on top of mind. There are some concepts that may have worked for the team in a pre-pandemic scenario but don’t anymore, mentions Maura Dineen, creative director. This necessitated a fresh start. Moe’s is focusing on three design directions for 2023 as part of its own “reset,” including Enduring Sentiment, Free Form, and Earthened. A look book of new outdoor items is another new release from the brand.
