AHFA Logistics Conference postponed to 2021

American Home Furnishings Alliance – the specialized furniture carriers division has canceled its 2020 Logistics Conference and rescheduled in 2021 due to COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting scheduling conflicts within the home furnishings industry.

The group’s next conference, titled “Navigating Into the Future,” will be held June 14 to 16, 2021, at the Embassy Suites Wilmington Riverfront in Wilmington, N.C.

“A quick poll of our membership indicated that the Las Vegas Market conflict created an insurmountable obstacle for the success of the 2020 Logistics Conference,” said Mary O’Keeffe, executive director of the Specialized Furniture Carriers. “Our leadership team determined that devoting attention to developing a vibrant 2021 conference was the best course of action.” Mary O’Keeffe added further.

In April, the Specialized Furniture Carriers announced it was moving its 2020 conference from mid-June to the end of August in response to ongoing stay-at-home orders in many states due to Coronavirus. However, shortly after the new August 31 to September 2 event was announced, International Market Centers released new dates for the summer Las Vegas Market directly overlapping the rescheduled Logistics Conference.
