Arhaus inaugurates new studio concept store in California

Arhaus, a family-owned home furnishings retailer, has opened a new concept studio in Carmel, debuting the retailer’s new strategy and approach to bringing Arhaus to the heart of luxury communities.

“We have always evolved our service offerings to best cater to our clients’ needs, and the studio is the next extension of that mission,” said John Reed, Arhaus CEO and co-founder of Arhaus. “With Arhaus Studio, we set out to create an even higher-end and more exclusive experience, providing a ‘white-glove’ level of personal service and furniture customization.”

The studio offers a service-first approach to the handmade furniture and décor the brand is known for, within a smaller store footprint and more intimate setting, according to the company. Furthering its in-person services, the Arhaus Studio features a robust design center equipped with technology including 3D room-planning software and touchscreen monitors, which can display an item within a client’s personal space.

The launch of Arhaus’ first studio location is well-positioned in a year in which the second-home market has seen steady growth, according to the company. The need for personalized design services – including in-store, in-home and virtual services – has increased significantly as a result.

Arhaus Studio’s intimate atmosphere reflects the charm of Carmel as an oceanside community, with a curated selection of one-of-a-kind and custom pieces specifically chosen to inspire local clients.

In celebration of the opening, the company is partnering with American Forests to plant 10,000 trees in the U.S. As a brand founded on sustainable beliefs, and as part of its ongoing Green Initiative, the company said it’s honored to support American Forests and its mission.

Arhaus, which currently operates more than 70 retail locations across the county, is planning to open additional studio locations in 2021, including luxury ski locales and more beachside communities. Each location will feature its own unique mix of locally inspired pieces.
