Ashley distribution services expands fleet

On December 27, 2021, Ashley Pacific Northwest, LLC (Ashley PNW), an affiliate of Ashley Distribution Services, Ltd. (ADS), purchased the assets of the Western U.S. operations of Wilson Logistics, Inc. (Wilson). The purchase included more than 440 tractors and 1,425 trailers. Ashley PNW will operate as a carrier for hire.

In order to service a growing list of customers, Ashley PNW will operate in several facilities formerly utilized by Wilson Logistics. A team of more than 600 associates are being welcomed to Ashley’s 35,000+ global associates.

“We’re very excited for the addition of the Ashley Pacific Northwest operations including the professional talent and incredible team of drivers that has been established by Darrel Wilson,” said John Leighty, Executive Vice President, Ashley Distribution Services. “We look forward to working with the current customers and growing the business with them along with future customers.”

Additionally, Ashley PNW will operate a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Training Program previously established by Wilson. The program, offered in Missoula, Mont., is designed for those wanting to become a professional over-the-road (OTR) truck driver, and will be instrumental in helping to build the driver team at Ashley PNW as well as ADS.

Ashley’s owned and operated transportation fleets have a combined total of more than 1,600 tractors and more than 5,000 trailers.
