Baker Interiors all set to expand Barbara Barry collections

This spring, Barbara Barry is adding 31 pieces to her collections for both Baker and McGuire that encompass a mix of categories ranging from bedroom and dining to outdoor seating and dining. Bearing the theme of “A Return to the Romance of Style,” the Barbara Barry for Baker collection includes 12 new pieces that the company said showcases a “modern take on graceful, soft forms.”

Several key pieces include:

• The Caprice fully upholstered bed, which features a curved bronze bedframe and curved bronze casting detail. It is shown in a pink tone fabric that – like similar fabrics on various accent chairs in the collection – was inspired by Barry’s love of pink peonies.
• The Bandeau nightstand, which is made of quartered figured walnut and features a drawer lined in leather and also features a custom bronze pull.
• The Bohemia buffet, which features eglomise doors with solid brass frames. The piece also features a band of figured walnut veneers on two curved brass bases and the interior is lined with quartered figured walnut veneers and a silver cloth center drawer.
• The Peplum dining table, which has a top made with quartered figured walnut veneers and brass inlay. Inset brass detailing divides each curve of the base, which is topped with a rounded edge of solid walnut.
• The Marino dining chair, which has a curved back that features a bead of solid walnut that provides support. Tapered conical legs also sport front bronze sabots.

Finishes include natural Bronze tone and a deep rich Nougat seen on the quartered figured walnut veneers.

For McGuire, we’re proud to reintroduce a classic McGuire style with the Script Seating Collection, along with debuting a line of modern, sculptural outdoor designs envisioned for a beautiful garden setting.”

The line debuts this spring and will be on display at the Baker High Point showroom at 319 N. Hamilton St. during the June 5-9 High Point Market. It is expected to hit retail floors by late summer.
