Bassett Furniture opens new store in New York

Case goods and upholstery manufacturer Bassett Furniture has opened a new 19,000-square-foot store in Garden City, New York. With this store opening, the company now has more than 90 locations across the country, including 10 stores in the New York market.

The store is located at 950 Old Country Road, Garden City, and is open seven days a week, offering a wide selection of case goods and upholstery. It also offers complimentary decorating and design services which include a wide fabric selection for custom orders.

Chairman and CEO, Robert H. Spilman Jr. said, “We are excited to bring another Bassett Home Furnishings store to the New York area, and we believe the market is ideal for our brand, which sets the standard to providing consumers the latest on-trend furniture styles with unmatched custom capabilities. With the opening of this store, we continue to strengthen our position in New York.”

For 2017, the company has plans to open four to five new locations. These include Culver City, California, King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, and Pittsburgh.
