Cort Furniture Solution for Carleton College

Alongside CORT, a Berkshire Hathaway Company and the nation’s leading provider of transition services, Carleton College renovated its faculty housing program through customized CORT furniture solutions, replacing the housing program’s units with premium furniture and accessories. More specifically, Carleton College turned to CORT for its expertise to provide affordable and sustainable furniture solutions for its 16 fully furnished units, including sofas, dining tables and dressers.

In addition, Carleton College is strongly commited to environmental sustainability practices so the college wanted to find furnishings partner that supported their sustainability efforts. Cort was selected to fully furnish the 16 units.

“With 37 faculty rental units available, our housing program includes a variety of floor plans with both partially or fully furnished housing options, so we needed an affordable yet customizable solution to accommodate each faculty member’s needs and make them feel at home.” Said Denise Gillen, Senior Accountant and Employee Housing Co-ordinator, Carleton College facilities.

“CORT worked hand-in-hand with Carleton College, helping to review the floor plans and understand their style preferences,” said Lindsay Ivens, CORT higher education account representative. “Within just four months, each of the 16 fully furnished units were equipped with premium furniture and accessories that best fit their need.” He added.
