Designer Mona Stephen debuts TuxSeato Collection

Published on : Saturday, December 19, 2020

Interior Designer Mona Stephen has created a custom collection of accent chairs featuring abstract art on canvas.

These one-of-a-kind chairs, priced from $2,900 to $3,936, are dressed in fabrics ranging from plush velvet to commercial grade leathers. The chair frames are unique in style and shape, as well as in fabric variations and color schemes, and are designed for luxury and comfort as well as visual impact.

After more than 15 years of designing commercial, hospitality and residential interiors, Mona Stephen, the principal and creative director of M One Design Group, was challenged with finding unique chairs for her clients. She said “accent chairs are a staple for any well-appointed room” and decided to create her own collection.

Stephen commissioned her longtime friend, Belize-based abstract artist Natalie Alexis, to collaborate on the TuxSeato chair line. Alexis’ original art adorns the chairs on canvas that is strategically placed on the chairs.

With her elite clientele — including Tyrese Gibson, Future Hendrix, Ed Reed and Jasmine Guy — in mind, as well as her boutique hospitality projects, the collection targets customers with an appetite for exclusivity and appreciation for art and design. Go here to see the collection.

Stephen, whose M One Design Group specializes in commercial, hospitality and residential design, got her start in the design industry as a visual merchandiser with Home Depot. That led to work with builders and developers in the Southeast to design hundreds of model homes.
