Furniture technology provider Marxent has partnered with HNI Corp. to release several new 3D commerce apps, and to simplify process of purchasing home office furniture online. A 3D product configurator and the mobile-friendly home office scene configurator, designed to help customers who are working and shopping from home.
“Telecommuting has seen significant growth during 2020, and we expect this ‘new normal’ to persist,” said Kris Rao, HNI chief information and digital officer. He said that in addition to telecommuting, consumers are investing more in their homes and remodeling projects. From the comfort of their own home, using the Marxent technology, consumers can now personalize a product, preview it in real-time, and request a consult by using the 3D product configurator.
“When the sudden need for socially distant shopping made 3D commerce essential for home office furniture manufacturers, we were ready to expand the utility of Marxent 3D Cloud to meet the unique needs of this category,” said Beck Besecker, Marxent’s CEO and co-founder. He said Marxent’s operation is designed to stay ahead of the sea of new technology changes by bringing scale, speed, maturity and reusable assets to 3D configuration and space planning.
