Mohawk introduces nature-inspired carpet plank

Mohawk Group and designer Jason F. McLennan has decided to extend their partnership for a innovative collection that celebrates nature “in a new way.”

The Owls collection reinterprets the essence of its namesake North American birds of prey through color and patterning on a canvas of sustainably made carpet plank. This soulful collection is inspired by their plumage, McLennan applied different shades which creates a smokey mood assembled with mottled shades of black, brown, tan and gray across two 12-x-36-inch patterns: Feather and Flight. Owls is the sequel to Lichen, the first collaborative collection between McLennan and Mohawk Group. Owls integrates many of the same innovations that debuted with the Lichen collection, including lower-impact yarn systems and Pattern Perfect tufting technology, solidifying a commitment to leave a smaller footprint while extending a social “handprint.”

Owls comes standard with Red List-free Duracolor Tricor solution-dyed nylon fiber and EcoFlex NXT tile backing. Duracolor Tricor utilizes a modified triangular-shaped core to deliver stain resistance, colorfastness, durability, color clarity and enhanced soil performance.
