New Classic Furniture recently announced it offerings at the High Point Market. They are introducing a different way to shop its line than in the past. The all new showroom now, will include two whole home collections the company has begun to develop over time, starting with upholstery and occasional and bedroom last October and then continuing with more bedroom at the January 2020 Las Vegas Market.
As the individual categories have done well, the company is adding formal dining to both Monique and Maximus. This not only fills out the categories, but also makes them the first official collections in the company’s line, said Bill Dominquez, vice president, research, development and international operations at New Classic.
Both have traditional design elements — including heavily carved elements — with Monique leaning more towards French traditional and Maximus leaning more towards Italian traditional. Made with poplar solids and birch veneers, Monique is offered in a lighter finish called Pearl, featuring champagne-toned tipping. Maximus is made with poplar solids and cherry veneers in a darker brown finish called Madeira and features gold tipping.
Monique includes a pedestal-base table with shaping on the top, as well as companion case pieces such as china display unit and buffet. Maximus offers a leg table, along with companion case storage pieces. The tables in both collections are about 102 inches long with leafs and can seat at least eight comfortably.
Table-and-six-chair sets are targeted to retail around $1,999, placing them in the best portion of the company’s good-better-best line. As the balance of the dining line is largely in dinettes and casual dining sets, these sets help fill a void, not only in the line, but also in the marketplace due to their highly formal nature and traditional styling.
Dominguez said these collections will be shown in a dedicated area of the showroom called Royal Classic by New Classic.
