Coptic textiles, Moroccan Tuareg mats, Berber rugs, Nui shibori.
In developing her new and varied collection of area rugs, haute home designer Christiane Lemieux drew from these influences triggered from her career experiences and travels.
And she sought Momeni Inc. as her licensing partner to bring her designs to life for the U.S. market and, specifically, brick-and-mortar retailers, designers and decorators.
“Christiane is perhaps one of the most experienced individuals we have ever worked with on a collaboration,” said Rachel Fasciani, vice president of licensing and marketing for Momeni. “She has a deep understanding of the marketplace and all of its verticals, she understands the process that goes into making high-quality pieces, from handmade rugs to furniture. And she understands sell-ability, so it is not just about what is trending and her particular style, but also what she knows will appeal to the people making the purchases.” Rachel added further.
Because of the program’s attention to artisan craftsmanship, it will target only brick-and-mortar retailers, including furniture stores, as well as designers and decorators. Momeni’s fourth designer-branded program, the Lemieux et Cie collection complements Momeni Inc.’s offering and expertise in handmade constructions.
The launch for the new Lemieux et Cie collection is set for High Point Market, October 19 to 23.
The Lemieux et Cie rugs are scheduled to hit retail stores by spring 2020.
