For more than 30 years, Nourison has built a reputation as a leading multi-category resource in today’s floor covering market, working with designers and retailers to provide beautiful, top-quality rugs, carpets, and home accessories for homes around the world. Their company offers a comprehensive range of products across styles and price ranges, in both commercial and residential spaces.
Nourison helped set the stage for Housing Works’ 15th annual Design on a Dime benefit in New York City last month. Held April 25 to 27 at the Metropolitan Pavilion, the benefit featured one-of-a-kind vignettes curated by more than 70 nationally recognized interior designers.
Nourison donated area rugs and home accents to decorate five vignettes by Bailey Li Interiors, Beth Diana Smith Interior Design, Elissa Grayer Interior Design, Francis Interiors and Saudah Saleem Interiors.
Guests were able to shop from the vignettes’ furniture, furnishings and textiles at a 50% to 80% discount off the regular retail price point. The program is dedicated to raising awareness and crucial funding towards the fight to end the AIDS epidemic.
For Nourison, this year marks its fourth participating in Design on a Dime. Nourison also donated to Saudah Saleem Interiors in 2018 and Elissa Grayer Interior Design in 2017.
“The luxe, hand-sewn sheepskin heavy bag and hair-on-hide boxing gloves are part of my ‘Will Power’ collection featuring custom, made-to-order products. The entire inspiration for my very special vignette stems from juxtaposing my late father’s love for all things luxurious, paired with urban street culture,” Li said.
For the sixth consecutive year, Design on a Dime raised more than $1 million towards the mission to end AIDS and homelessness.
Proceeds from Design on a Dime fund Housing Works’ programs and services for New Yorkers living with HIV/AIDS, including housing, healthcare, and supportive community programs.
