Online platform is the way forward for Classic Leather in fall

Classic Leather decided to discontinue physical presence, and instead go virtual in October High Point Market. They will indulge into a virtual presentation of new goods in its showroom at the company’s plant in Conover, N.C. Classic Leather will hold the event Oct. 6-8. Live Instagram content will complement virtual tours to present product introductions and market promotions. An open house will follow at 4:30-5 p.m. each evening for questions and answers.

“This year, we are not physically participating in the High Point Market,” said Aryn Leach, marketing and user experience design manager, via e-mail, adding the decision was made due to COVID-19-related risks. “That being said, we are allowing people to visit our [office] showroom if desired, by appointment only. We have a few people who have expressed an interest in seeing our furniture in person, which we are more than happy to accommodate.”

Introductions this fall include three new groups: two additions to the regular Classic Leather line and one group for the Classic Design program, which highlights custom capabilities. The company also will launch a revamped home theater offering featuring new construction and new styling on two looks. The Classic Leather staff also will hold educational presentations about product construction and leathers used. Classic Leather will utilize Zoom for the overall virtual experience, Leach noted. “We will make links available to our audience via our dealer portal on our website, which can be accessed through our event page,” she said. “The Zoom experience will begin with admission to a general chat room where Classic staff will greet the visitors and be introduced to their sales rep. They can also be sent to a sub chat room to make the experience more personal with the rep.

“Other outlets for sharing our event will include Facebook and Instagram Live and the Instagram Story Highlight located in our Instagram Profile, which will remain accessible after the event.” A complete video walk-through of product in the showroom will be available after the market.
