Room & Board enters bath category

Renowned retailer Room & Board is moving into the bath category and offering vanities, lighting, mirrors, rugs, accessories and décor.“We are excited to mark our entrance into the bath market,” said Bruce Champeau, Room & Board president and COO. “For more than 40 years, we have been committed to perfecting products and services. Our bath collection is a reflection of that devotion, combining the trusted elements of our brand that our customers have always valued with our trademark timeless, modern aesthetic.”

Champeau said the collection is filled with color and artisan-crafted pieces and celebrates American-made design fused with a business service model that’s been adapted from the brand’s commercial arm, Room & Board Business Interiors. Designers and architects interested in the collection can receive high-volume discounts, free warehousing, a flat-rate delivery fee and extensive product warranties.

Room & Board said more than 90% of the products are made in the U.S. As a founding member of the Sustainable Furnishings Council, the brand said it has received accolades for its commitment to upholding conservation values, proper forest management and responsible wood sourcing.  The new vanities are inspired by classic design styles of the past — including Arts & Crafts, Japanese and modern minimal design — according to the company, and they are finished with sustainable, eco-friendly quartz tops. Using responsibly harvested American maple, cherry, walnut and ash, along with corrosion-resistant steel, U.S. artisans make each bathroom vanity with construction details like dovetail joinery and hand-applied stains.
