Stone & Leigh unveils private-label upholstery program

Renowned furniture manufacturer Stone & Leigh is showcasing a new private-label upholstery program for retailers at the High Point Premarket. The move responds to a request from key dealers interested in promoting exclusive, value-oriented seating products under their own brand name.

The furniture manufacturer launched its domestic upholstery business two years ago, combining quality bench-made seating production methods with high-tech operating systems to develop custom inventory of salable styles that can be merchandised at higher margins. The initial assortment features 35 designs crafted of engineered wood frames and steel spring foundations paired with coil innerspring seat cushions, priced to retail at $799 for a sofa.

With a mix of traditional, transitional and casual contemporary silhouettes, the design menu features generously scaled sofas and loveseats along with modulars and occasional chairs. Some 30 covers are available in correlated groups and including performance fabrics plus leather. In addition, slipcovers are available as an add-on accessory. The company also offers promotionally priced cut-and-sew packages out of its Mexico facility.

“We are set up for six- to eight-week delivery as soon as the foam supply returns to a 30-day cycle,” said Darryl Webster, COO. He noted that minimum orders are based on truckload quantities.
